Back and better than ever!

Well hello!

Long time, no blog, I know! I decided to just go ahead and take a bit of a break for Christmastime and New Years, simply because, well, I needed one. Fellow bloggers know the feeling; you start posting just to post, content quality goes way down, just for the sake of posting! I just decided to give it a rest, but now I should be back to my normal posting schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday).

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know I did. Even between all the holiday busy-ness, I was still super busy doing so much more! So, here's what I've been up to the last few weeks:

-I survived my Micro Economics finale and managed to get A's in both my classes. New classes start next week!
-I finally got my new camera! It's a Canon Rebel T1i, and I've been using it like mad for the past few weeks. The pictures on the blog should be of much better quality now! I'm super excited to see how it looks!

-I was fortunate to have the opportunity to go on a mission's trip with my young adult's church group. We went to inner city Chicago and passed out stuffed Christmas stockings to children in need, held a outreach for the homeless in uptown Chicago, and passed out stockings/food/clothing/necessities to several people in the area homeless shelters.

-I spent Christmas with my husband's family:

(Loot!)

-I spent New Year's with my family and Ginger the Wonderdog (and a rogue scrabble board):

-And some time with with my friends Jeremiah and and his lovely wife Monica.  Jeremiah decided that he wanted his hair permed and and wanted to be a gangsta.

So, that's what I've been doing the last few weeks. It's been such a nice break, but it really is good to be back.

What's been going on in your worlds? Did "Santa" bring you anything good? Back tomorrow!

Looks like that Canon Rebel has been a good investment so far! Thanks for sharing your ministry photos as well... I always enjoy those. :)

I still don't completely understand why citrus fruits are such a big part of Christmastime, but I have to say, the extra kick of Vitamin C at this time of the year is always appreciated.
